The plot of the movie is a cheating wife gets caught by her husband and his revenge is to cut her lover;s hand off and leave him for dead in the desert and also he cuts his wifes face leaving her horribly scarred and sells her off to become a prostitue. The lover eventually heals and goes searching for her and tracks her down at a monistary where she is being cared for by nuns. I can't remember the actors or actresses but I know the wife and lover were spanish (could have been Salma Hyack and perhaps Antonio Banderas as the lover?) and I keep thinking the husband was someone like Gene Hackman? But it was a dark romance gone bad movie almost like Desperado or even Karma Sutra.
