Did Denzel Washington deserve an Oscar, Academy Award for Flight?

I thought he was superb in the movie, very believable. I never saw Lincoln, but Daniel-Day Lewis must've been pretty good to beat out washington.

Daniel Day Lewis was awesome in Lincoln. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, go watch it now! Washington was good, but he played the same role he played in Courage Under Fire.
